Sri NookaRaju (late) love for food had always encouraged him to pursue his future in the food industry. Starting with Sweets Catering contract in Indian Railways in the year 1952, he rose to become a food contractor for Indian Railways in the next two years. His commitment and dedication towards the work are remarkable.
Fascinated by the food industry, he started his first restaurant venture in the year 1967 as Durga Military Restaurant with a seating capacity of nearly 50 PAX which is known for its coastal Andhra cuisine.With the sudden death of Sri NookaRaju in the year 1980, we, his sons VenkataRao & Brothers took over the responsibility of carrying the legacy.
With an increasing demand for our tastes and keeping the footfall in mind, we renewed our brand as ‘Durga Vilas’ and expanded it to a 2 storied building. And the hunger for our tastes in the city was still not met. Hence we started the operations in a new additional 2nd building with more streamlined processes to serve the customer better. Understanding the demand and supply of coastal Andhra cuisines, we would like to offer our tastes to Singapore Indian crowd
